Al Dente is a place where fresh pasta is made onsite daily,
referred to in Italian as a pastificio. The Fitzrovia spot offers
dining in, takeaway and a selection of fresh pastas to take home
and prepare. High quality and resonable prices is part of their mission.
Their lunch menu has options on par with some large chains that don’t
make pasta onsite.
I went for the Carbonara, they use eggs imported from Italy.
Tasting pasta made in the traditional way really makes the difference.
The pasta tasted more “meaty” than when not this style.
It also makes it much more filling!
The Cannoli I had for pudding was chocolate and pastry heaven.
The restaurant is slick in it’s design and non-fussy.
High stools around large middle table and edges give a social vibe.
Cultery in your table draw is a nice touch along with customers in view of Chefs.
A great option for a hearty Italian meal with quality wine.
