With the Instapump Fury already on the way, Reebok is now back with a new innovative design, the “Zig Kinetica.”
A stand-out, first seen on the runway of streetwear designers like Cottweiler, Angus Chiang and Chromat, the shoe that is now known as the ‘Zig Kinectica’ features a fashion-forward unique upper design that provides an energized cushioning experiences and sits atop a bold zig-zag outsole that expands and contracts like a rubber band to provide spring-like response.
Speaking of the design inspiration behind Zig Kinetica, Garbstore’s Ian Paley says ” The infusion of [Reebok’s] history is of paramount importance as it relates to the design and styling cues in the shoe. The shapes, lines, panels and overall design language is a mixture of parts from many archive models, both released and unreleased. The material choices and colour palette are new. The impression that the shoe is storing its energy within the sole, ready to propel you forward, coincides with the idea of using a hidden ‘heat map’ colour gradient of how kinetic energy flows and is released”
