Bold coloured casual-wear.
Titled “The Dynamism of Stillness” Colmar’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection has an accompanying video which explores “a synthetic body language expressing strength, determination, willingness.”
Directed by artist Viviane Sassen the experimental film provides a minimalist eye that draws attention to the bright colours which weave their way through this collection. These strong hues almost deflect from the functional details that make these garments perfect any urban exploration.
With a focus on practicality, the research jacket finds itself at the forefront of the collection. With scope for personalisation to suit each individual, tape that runs around its body can have accessories such as a backpack, pouches or a carabiner attached to it. Furthermore, braces on the inside allow for the jacket to be worn across the wearer’s body when it gets hot.
Paired together with these bold jackets, one of which is in a space-age silver fabric, are comfort-based essentials. Casual cotton pullovers and sweatpants provide a comfy fit whilst details such as the labels black logo, colourful straps and modern tailoring prevent the impression of sluggishness.
