Perpetuating their ongoing mission to integrate more sustainable and responsible measures across the label, Swedish brand Weekday recently unveiled their first 100% recyclable and biodegradable denim set for your perusal.
Part of the ongoing Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Jeans Redesign project; both the Milton Jacket and Klean Jeans are composed of a sturdy blend of post-consumer waste cotton and organic cotton, with long life and recyclable future forming the foundations of the release. Speaking on the release, Per Axen, Responsible Denim Designer at Weekday commented;
“We really had to think about every detail, such as trims, fabric, fit and even packaging, and now that we have done this, we will look into how we can take these learnings and bring them into future designs.”
