Dover Street Market Drop.
Celebrating the launch of Dover Street Market’s ‘FLURO REBELLION PROJECT,’ London-based brand ROKH has teamed up with ASICS to launch new reworked iterations of two of the Japanse label’s popular silhouettes.
Constructed using their signature handcrafted methods, the GEL VENTURE 7 and GEL KAYANO 5 360 were reimagined using multiple mountain rope knotting techniques which included the laces being custom-crafted by mixing reflection tape and fluorescent yarn. Taking inspiration from ASICS technology and intelligence-led approach, ROKH’s designer Rok Hwang opted to fuse his own ideals with that of the footwear giant’s by using only the most innovative ways to construct quality products. Speaking on the drop, Hwang commented:
“I found a similarity in technology and crafting. Both have purpose and meaning. Both require innovation and forward thinking. Both take time and energy. This factor made me fascinated to work on this project with ASICS. Combining the idea of craftsmanship into delicately produced high-tech running shoes”
