Cult Tokyo streetwear label Wacko Maria has looked into the legendary legacy of artist Jean Michel Basquiat for its latest release.
A member of the 27 club, one of the New York Artist’s most famous motifs was the skull print depicted on this shirt. Referencing the Grays Anatomy book his mother gave him ages seven, one of the artist’s skull paintings sold for $110.5 million at Sotheby’s in May 2017, the highest ever price paid for an American artists work at auction.
