There is still hope for the Certified Lover Boy collaboration.
Drake, aka Certified Lover Boy, has a multitude of sneaker releases he’s teased the public with in recent months, with the collaborative version of the Nike Air Force 1 being one of the most hyped. However, the wait might be a while longer…
After initial pictures were released in July 2021, the Nike Air Force 1 x Drake collaboration was excitedly waited upon, but after many months of waiting, it is still yet to arrive. The shoe takes the classic white Air Force 1 silhouette and adds a very slight touch, with the customary “Air” on the shoe’s mid sole being replaced with “Love You Forever” in reference to Drizzy’s most recent album, Certified Lover Boy.
Recent rumours suggested that production of the shoe may have been curtailed due to the complex nature of its design, but knowledgable industry insider Brendan Dunne assured sneaker heads that a release was still coming:
“Some rumours floating around this week that the Drake Air Force 1s were cancelled. Per a source at Nike, that is not the case and a release is still coming”.
It’s impossible to know when this release might come, or if it will at all, but there is still some hope… apparently.
