After yesterday’s announcement of Wales Bonner and adidas’ latest collaboration, the revered sportwear label has previewed some pieces from the upcoming release.
Set to release via the adidas confirmed app, the Spring/Summer 2022 collection draws on Wales Bonner’s research into the music and photography of Burkina Faso, West Africa, in the 1970s and 80s, with a variety of warm tones and vibrant patterns seen within the released imagery. From the preview, Wales Bonner and adidas have come together for a co-branded red and yellow sweatsuit, a red and navy monogram pattern sweater vest and matching high-rise shorts, textured socks in yellow and red, as well as a yellow patchwork track jacket. In a summary of the collection released via their website, adidas and Wales Bonner’s latest looks to “pay homage to creative energy and individuality of style.”
