Bringing back tradition.
Antwerp-based men’s clothing label ARTE ANTWERP have stepped forward with their Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, looking to push back at “the precision and sleekness of technology.”
Celebrating “the imperfection of human making”, ARTE ANTWERP’s new range features a curated selection of pieces that centres itself around the soul of craft and looks to counterbalance the “precision and sleekness of technology”, a widely common factor in current high-fashion brands and their collections.
The array of classic silhouettes throughout the collection reflects an exploration of artisanal techniques, whilst new textures are a main focus throughout this range. The brand looks to capture the idea that life isn’t perfect, focusing on imperfection as an interesting point to draw inspiration from, with traditional crafts like patchwork, quilting and crochet putting these codes into a modern collection. Some standouts from the range include a classic cracked black leather Harrington jacket, a white love-heart quilted puffer co-ord, as well as a pair of mid-wash blue denim jeans with a clover-style graphic.
