Palace Brings the Streets to Gucci for their Debut Collaboration

By October 17, 2022Fashion News

Available online and in selected stores from the 21st October.

Two kingpins in their respective genres of luxury and streetwear, a harmonious collaboration is brought together by merging two contrasting worlds to find common ground in the artistry of fashion.

Through Gucci’s experimental concept space curated by Alessandro Michele, we are presented with Gucci x Palace, a reimagining of the Italian luxury house through the lens of the London street scene. Channelling what constitutes modern street culture, this new collaborative venture brings forth fashion that breaks boundaries and, in turn, brings a sense of liberation and freedom by finding beauty in contradiction.

This capsule comprises clothing and accessories for all genders – including Palace’s debut into women’s ready-to-wear – and boldly merges both brands’ signature motifs and design language in a clever and organic way. Take a look at the ‘Leather Horsebit’ loafer, which adds a playful Palace ‘P’ charm to be left dancing on a classic Gucci staple – a subtle touch that encapsulates the streetwear brand’s mischievous tone. The same can be said on the flip side, with trademark Palace pieces such as Football jerseys receiving the Gucci treatment with gold trimmings and red and green colour blocking.

The collection will be available online and at pop-up stores in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Osaka and Bangkok as well as at Palace stores in London, New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo where the spaces will be reconfigured for the collaboration.
