Drôle de Monsieur x Paraboot References a Chair

By November 2, 2022Fashion News

Coming soon...

Coming off the success of their first collaboration, Paraboot and Drôle de Monsieur have joined forces once again, this time on a loafer. The inspiration this time around comes from a chair made by Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret and his iconic ‘Committee Chair’ from the 1950s for the Chandigarh Project. The founders of the french streetwear brand sourced the chair from India to bring back to France so they could get it expertly restored, with some minor touches to make it their own.

The result is a chair that matches seamlessly with the new collaborative effort, reimagining the Reims loafer from the Paraboot roster. Made in France, the shoe features a Norweigan welted brown sole with a smooth leather upper that looks almost identical to the wooden structure of the chair. The toe box area is also covered in calfskin leather that resembles the seat of the coveted chair.

Check out the shoes below.
