Converse Taps Fragment Design for Weapon Collaboration

Dropping May 11th.

Converse lets the next generation in on a style they’ve been keeping close to their chest since its brief introduction in 1986 as the iconic footwear label reimagines the Weapon sneaker through Hiroshi Fujiwara’s signature fragment design language.

“As I was looking for a shoe to work on with Converse, I immediately thought the Weapon would be good for me. It’s a classic shoe I used to wear in my childhood” said Fujiwara.

Staying true to both fragment’s minimalistic aesthetic and the Weapon’s original form, the collaboration adopts a classic sport royal blue, black, and white palette – a colour scheme reserved for only the most desired pieces. Crafted in premium leather, the Converse x FRGMT Weapon is defined by its colour-blocked design while a Star Chevron marks the side, an original woven label sits on the tongue, and a logo-embossed heel cap completes the high-top silhouette.

Accompanied by an apparel capsule comprised of a wool varsity jacket, French terry hoodie, and two tees, the Converse x FRGMT Weapon collection will be available in a limited global release on converse.com and select retail partners from May 11th.
