'The Beautifully Useful'.
Kim Jones goes with the flow for Dior’s Winter 2023/24 campaign as the French Fashion House’s latest advertorial takes its cues from the natural movement of the great Thames and Seine rivers. Rooted in the idea of contrasts, its garments are reinvented and enhanced for exceptional elegance, comfort, and functionality. Meticulously designed to hybridize and morph according to the shape and size of the wearer, there’s a poetic conflict between simplicity and extreme precision with each piece.
Following suit, the complexity of the collection’s accessories. The iconic Saddle silhouette, showcased in an exclusive metal version, molds to the desirable curves of the models, likewise the Saddle Boxy, Dior Gallop, and Dior Pillow. The finishing touches arrive in the form of the 3D-printed Dior Carlo Derbies, leather ankle boots, and seafaring-inspired hats.
