Hit or Miss?
The ongoing partnership between streetwear outfit Cactus Plant Flea Market and Nike has been a very fruitful one thus far, but this latest pair is arguably set to be their most divisive yet as unofficial imagery arrives for a potential “Flea 2” sneaker.
After the release of several other standout sneakers, including bedazzled iterations of the Nike Dunk Low and the ‘Grinch’ themed Flea 1, Cactus Plant Flea Market have tapped Nike once again as they look to expand on the already extensive array of collaborative footwear created between the two, with this new Flea 2 sneaker proving to be one of their most ambitious yet. The low-riding sneakers feature a tire-like sole unit that mimics the controversial Balenciaga Defender, with frontal velcro strapping, an oversized white Nike midfoot Swoosh, and “Flea 2” branding on the heel, tongue, and straps providing this black and white pair with a slightly louder approach.
No release date has been set for this pair as of yet, but stay tuned to PAUSE for more information as it arrives.
