An Iconic Link-Up.
Synchronicities brought them together. A shared vision. The 1960s saw Alpha Industries and Dr. Martens flourish as a result of a commitment to creating quality apparel and embracing a tradition of craftsmanship.
Whenever you think of Alpha Industries, you may imagine the classic MA-1 flight jacket. If you think about Dr. Martens, you think of a boot that stands the test of time. Adopted by youth subcultures worldwide, both brands remain relevant to today’s contemporary demographics, even when designing for modern audiences. For their new joint collection, the two entities dug deep into history to celebrate the hardworking spirit they are both known for.
It is once again evident that the styles in the collaboration are made to last. Each stitch is crafted with quality craftsmanship, durability, and functionality. With an ankle sleeve pocket, the Tarik boot is remastered in smooth leather and nylon. Laced in red and black. Taking direct inspiration from the Alpha Industries MA-1, this pull tab is removable and the yellow stitching is of-course, recognisable.
The collaboration continues with the 1460 Ben boot, which gets a modern workwear upgrade with Smooth leather and Nylon on the upper. Elsewhere, Dr. Marten’s attitude is given a utility edge with the Alpha Backpack, functional from zip to strap, with added pockets. A hardwearing mix of Smooth leather, Kiev leather and Nylon.
Overall, the collaboration appeals to the modern customer with their need for practicality and style. Brought to life through their campaign video with Lloyd Clipston (the drummer of eclectic London alternative band Powerplant) – check out what to expect from the exclusive joint collection below.
