Something Different.
Nike x sacai have recruited a third member as French haute couture house Jean Paul Gaultier direct their design ethos towards the divisive VaporWaffle sneaker.
Having long been a collaborative duo in the past for various iterations of the Waffle, VaporWaffle and Blazer silhouettes, Nike x sacai are back and better than ever with another fearless collaboration as they team up with Jean Paul Gaultier for a low-top iteration of the VaporWaffle. The previous joint effort between the three saw a high-top iteration of the sneaker be released, one that received a fair amount of criticism as sneaker heads became divided over the change in shape. With the rise in popularity of multi-textured and more specifically woven sneakers, Nike x sacai x JPG are taking this trend prediction to the bank as they debut two triple white and multicoloured green/blue/red/yellow colourways via their Instagram, with a striking checkered woven material dominating the pair alongside overlays of mesh and suede. In typical sacai fashion, doubled-up heels, tongues, and laces keep their place, while co-branding stays true to the previous drops.
The Nike x sacai x Jean Paul Gaultier VaporWaffle will arrive exclusively on the JPG website on November 22nd.
