KENZO have tapped ASICS for a new trio of collaborative efforts, with the popular GEL-Kayano 20 being the silhouette of choice for Nigo’s French outfit.
Being known for dipping into many a collaborative bag in the past, with Levi’s, Verdy, and Hunter being notable standouts, Nigo’s KENZO have literally kicked off 2024 in style as they look to the shoe brand of the moment, ASICS, for a collaborative capsule. Coming through with a trio of efforts, sneaker heads have been divided by the designs so far, with many being unenthused with this early imagery. Looking to capitalise on the recent trend of animal print sneakers, all three KENZO efforts boast a touch of something exotic as tiger print sits across the underlaying material of the ‘Glacier Gray’ and ‘Digital Aqua Black Gel’ efforts, whilst the ‘Multi White’ take a subtle dose of blue leopard print to the toe box. The typical co-branded accents you’d expect to find across these collaborations sits pretty on the tongue tabs and “KENZO” labelled midfoot, with tonal ASICS midfoot branding also making its mark.
No release date has been set for the trio of KENZO x ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 sneakers as of yet, but stay tuned to PAUSE for more information as it arrives.
