His Best Yet?
After another stellar year at the helm of streetwear, Salehe Bembury has started 2024 as he means to go on as the Tribeca born creative debuts official imagery for his upcoming New Balance 1906R collaboration.
With previously seen efforts standing alongside Moncler, Crocs, and New Balance, Salehe Bembury’s affection for subtle design stylings and vibrant colour palettes shone through admirably, with this latest dose of footwear taking on one of New Balance’s most notorious silhouettes: the 1906R. Having made a push for the sneaker in the last few months of 2023, New Balance look set to make this running mainstay a central part of the sneaker mainstream, with Bembury putting forward two new colourways of the sporty mesh sneaker. Titled “HEAT BE HOT”, this joint effort no doubt adds a heavy dose of heat to any self-respecting shoe rotation, with one such pair encapsulating the colours of fire as a yellow and orange gradient spreads itself across the underlying mesh material base, being contrasted with various silver accents across the upper as well as a scorched midsole unit. On the second iteration of the 1906R, some ‘Spiderman’ influence arrives through a red and blue colour scheme, with the sporty mesh composition being maintained for this pair also.
