Penalty Culture.
Continuing its modern-day revival, Umbro has paired up with Italian fashion boutique Slam Jam on its latest lifestyle capsule.
Their Spring/Summer 2024 capsule, titled “Penalty Culture”, fuses Umbro’s intrinsic footballing DNA with streetwear-oriented designs and silhouettes. In order to keep the collection inherently Umbro, they’ve tapped into the sportswear labels’ archives, adding the Slam Jam twist onto the garments. Leaning into subculture, a driving force behind both labels, the collection revisits Umbro’s two-tone patterns and graphic football kits, with the drop including a check-print anorak featuring a sewn-in mask that has been popping up all over men’s streetwear Tiktok, along with the masked hoodie and a kit that takes inspiration from the 2006 England side. Slam Jam has also been enlisted to take over any future lifestyle collections for the foreseeable future.
The newest Umbro collection is currently available on the Slam Jam website. Before you head over, take a peek at the brand’s campaign imagery below.
