J Balvin x Jordan has grown and grown as time has gone on, with the flourishing partnership continuing into 2024 as high-definition images of the Air Jordan 3 “Rio” come to light.
After having made quite the splash with his debut Air Jordan 1 Retro OG High ‘Colores Y Vibras’ effort, which caused a significant divide in the sneaker community, Colombian hitmaker J Balvin continues to win over sneaker heads across the globe and move through the iconic Jordan silhouettes, opting for a darkened take on the Air Jordan 3 this time around. With last year’s hit entry, titled “Medellín Sunset”, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Rio” follows in the footsteps of its predecessor as Balvin switches out cream upper panelling for a dark charcoal black and cream-coloured concrete toe details for a similarly darkened grey colour. Adding that distinctive J Balvin design flare, a striking sunset-style gradient hits the back heel unit and toe area as flashes of orange, red, and yellow blend together alongside J Balvin’s signature smiley design stamp.
The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 “Rio” is expected to release on May 22nd via the Nike SNKRS app.
