A Sign of Things to Come.

Acclaimed designer Haider Ackermann has stepped forward with his first entry for Canada Goose since his arrival as creative director, debuting the “Snow Goose by Canada Goose” capsule.

Arriving with a seasonal effort, creative director Haider Ackermann has designed his first foray into the archives of Canada Goose under the brand’s heritage label, Snow Goose. Shot by Willy Vanderperre, the new campaign features renowned actor and activist, Ethan Hawke, whilst model Julia Nobis also stars. The FW24 effort looks to Ackermann’s personal affliction with nature for inspiration, channeling the feelings of tranquility and escape that travel and wide open landscapes can bring. Just listen to the man himself: “Being surrounded by nature allows one to be connected with oneself – it reflects, it inspires, it provokes. It is in this rhythm and energy that we designed this capsule,” said Ackermann.

Functionality, youth, and adventure sit at the forefront of Ackerman’s design palette here, with the garments themselves including reimagined takes on Snow Goose’s typical silhouettes. For instance, the Rider Parka evolves the the classic Peacekeeper Parka and the Celestia Jacket advances the idea of a classic shirt jacket, furthering the lifespan of heritage shapes. Chunky rib knit wool composes the anticipated Cleria Crew jumper, whilst graphic touches enter the fray on Ackermann’s Runic Sweater and the Chinook Hybridge, as well as on the everyday Placid Crew and Wilder Hoodie efforts. Lastly, the Orion Tee implores wearers to “secure tomorrow,” bringing a forward-thinking message to the table, with the Trek Leggings, a Volt Turtleneck, an Avalon Hat, and beanies, caps, and socks rounding out the extensive first Ackermann-lead collection.

The first delivery of the Fall/Winter 2024 “Snow Goose by Canada Goose” capsule collection is now available on Canada Goose’s website.
