Tokyo Drift Meets wagamama x Uber Eats

Speed up your katsu craving.

This July, wagamama and Uber Eats are teaming up with a drifting champion to bring the spectacle of Japanese underground motorsport straight to your doorstep.

Londoners ordering their wagamama fix next week could see their takeaway arrive in style, with a custom-built delivery car swapping the usual courier for a genuine drift champion behind the wheel. It’s a fitting way to mark wagamama’s nationwide rollout on Uber Eats, with staples like the chicken katsu curry, gyozas and bang bang cauliflower now reaching more fans across the UK than ever.

The car does the talking, pulling from the neon-soaked aesthetic of Tokyo’s underground racing scene, it’s a 1998 Toyota Chaser wrapped in chrome red metallic with black flame graphics, oversized aero styling and star-studded wheels. Behind the wheel is Ollie Evans, 2019 British Drift Champion and 2022 DriftPro Champion, piloting the 340-horsepower build to make sure every order still lands piping hot, straight from kitchen to doorstep.

The energy doesn’t stop with the car. Anyone in the UK ordering wagamama via Uber Eats between 21–23 July is in with a shot at the ultimate prize, a full year of free wagamama. Winners have to pass a food-inspired test first taking on a challenge from the passenger seat of the Chaser at an iconic racetrack.

Regular Soul Club members get entries automatically. Check out the terms and further information here.
