Embossed grey suits, pastel blue and eggshell separates, the revamped maxi trench coat, colour block orange jackets and a palette ranging from ice white right down to dark hues of cobalt blue as well as black silhouettes; all in ONE show?! We at PAUSE think it’s safe to say Agi+Sam have indeed outdone themselves!
Concentrating on clean-cut linear lines, tapered crop suits whilst playing around with smart-yet-casual t-shirts, and staple pieces, many an item was to be coveted. The duo have been working up quite a storm on the fashion front of late, and their SS14 Collection ensures the momentum may not be slowing down anytime soon. Agi+Sam successfully created a line that had something that no doubt appealed to every eye without overclouding the senses.
Teaming up with Oliver Sweeney footwear to complete each look, the line brought the audience a wide variety of pieces but beautifully carried along the theme of the sophisticated gentleman; showcasing several different variations of the classic three-piece suit. From the reworked classic opting for the lovable boy-shorts with an oversize blazer in a noticeable print that wasn’t at all excessive. Later came the grey suit that sported contrasting panels of bright and vibrant prints, it is clear Agi+Sam were reaching for new heights and struck the perfect balance between fashionable and wearable clothing.
There were also monochrome elements; simplistic black and white outerwear and the pivotal all-white-three-piece strutted down the catwalk sure to invoke nods of approval and further cementing next season’s love for all things ice white.
Showcasing ultimate versatility and creativity, one almost holds their breath in anticipation of what else is to come from Agi+Sam. Cue applause!
