Art School’s soft tailoring techniques are making our hearts go a bit soft – the whole collection is a real vision. For Autumn/Winter 2018, Derek Jarman played on darker tones in order to speak of hope and iridescence. Contradictory to some, but this manifesto of colour is indicative of norms not playing out as expected. The dark does not have to be a solemn colour only used for dreary depictions. By creating and instigating a narrative about the nuances behind meaning, representation and depiction, the collection pioneers ‘standing proud of who we are and where we’re going.’ Discover the collection below. What do you think about the softness of the velvet, the nude fabrics and the delightful slips?
