Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF).

Virgil Abloh is set to go back to Copenhagen’ International Fashion Fair after last year’s success working with Max Lamb, for another project this season which is once again organised by Stavros Karelis.

Titled “ Enlightenment”, the project will feature unique works from some of fashion’s finest. Inspiration has mainly centred around the concept of light in order to surface more awareness for the Little Sun Foundation, which aims to bring solar power to over 1 billion people internationally. For this project, Virgil will release a special product while Naomi Campbell will collaborate with Peter Saville to create 10 Woolwich blankets painted with her favourite inspirational quotes.

Karelis recently spoke to Business of Fashion stating that “our actions have to become a platform to raise awareness and do something good”. Abloh echoed this idea by explaining why he was so keen to take part: “Using creativity to spread light on things that better humanity is a part of my ethos. Joining this team on the Enlightenment project was a great fit for me.”

The “Enlightenment” installation will run from 8th August until the 10th August.
