Nicholas Daley Explores Subcultures With Fred Perry

Along with a musicians grant!

In an all-British collaboration, designer Nicholas Daly has worked together with Fred Perry to launch a new capsule collection. The designer has infused Fred Perry’s musical heritage into the collection, looking specifically at the genres punk and reggae.

Having gone through Fred Perry’s vast archive to inspire this collection, it updates classic items in the almost 70-year-old brands repertoire. This has led to the creation of chunky V-neck knit jumpers, a brown and navy cardigan and, of course, a polo-shirt alongside a range of outerwear options.

Along with this collaboration, the two brands have announced a fund for emerging bands and musicians. Winners will receive a two-day masterclass recording session at London’s Metropolis Studio along with Brand and campaign management support. Successful applicants are selected by musicians Obongjayar and Nabihah Iqbal, DJs Zakia Sewell and Don Letts and Mixmag‘s Seb Wheeler. Applications can be made on the Fred Perry website and close on October 25.

See the full collection below, the Fred Perry web store on October 15.
