Custom GmbH?
Offering up a new made-to-measure facility for men, German label GmbH recently announced the launch of their demi-couture tailoring service which kicks off with a selection of styles from their autumn/winter 2021 collection.
More specifically, honing in on the offering’s off-the-shoulder jackets and coats, the style’s in question are constructed using adjustable traditionally boned corsets to hold the coats in place and can be ordered with plain or faux fur stoles, which are both detachable and interchangeable. Speaking on the news, founders Benjamin A. Huseby & Serhat Isik commented:
“We have always had a particular interest in the craft of tailoring since Serhat cuts all the patterns for GmbH himself. The demi-couture line is a way to bring some of this tradition and skill to life. We decided to make these items only available directly from GmbH, to have a much more accessible price point.”
