Launching next month.
World-renowned Colombian singer J Balvin is set to team up with Nike yet again as he unveils the release date for the long-awaited Air Jordan 2 collaboration.
Having been teased for the past few months, J Balvin’s latest collaboration with Nike finally looks set to come to fruition as the J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 gears up for release. Having previously teamed up for a rainbow-inspired Air Jordan 1, J Balvin is not known for his lowkey design choices, with this latest take on a Jordan classic proving no different. This pair feature blue skies and cloud patterns on the heel areas, mudguard, and interior liners, with puffy baby blue midfoot panels and suede overlays completing the majority of the upper.
Additional add-ons include white flat-lying laces, pink lace tips, a perforated toe box, and J Balvin’s signature smiley graphic on the heel, with the central attraction from the pair being J Balvin’s incorporation of glow-in-the-dark ball-and-wings logos that come situated on the tongues. In a statement made via his Instagram, J Balvin unveiled that this choice was made in order to display “the light to have a better quality of life”, looking to find a universal connection of finding your way through the dark patches in life.
The J Balvin x Air Jordan 2 collaboration is set to drop on September 15th.
