Streetwear meets British design.
Dr. Martens and AAPE BY *A BATHING APE recently announced their latest collaboration, marking diffusion label AAPE’s first with the footwear mainstay for autumn/winter 2022.
The collaboration will be focused on Dr Martens’ 1461 design, the 3-eye shoe that has been a staple for the brand for 60 years. AAPE has reimagined the 1461 with an embossed vamp of the recognisable Moonface logo and “SOMEWHERE IN THE AAPE UNIVERSE” text. The new release is topped off with “AAPE UNVS” on the back strap, a hidden Moonface logo on the sole and, of course, they’ll be available in Dr Martens’ notorious classic black or olive green, and featuring the label’s iconic yellow stitching.
The collection will drop on the 16th of September at the Dr Martens website as well as selected AAPE stores.
