Global buying and selling platform eBay is giving back to sneaker culture once again as the titans of the e-commerce industry unveil their ‘OG Drop’ campaign, which looks to raffle an array of hyped sneakers for a fraction of their resale price.
Looking to counteract the damage that sneaker bots, backdoor and limited releases have done to the sneaker industry, eBay is offering sneakerheads the chance to get their hands on an array of sneakers- all of which have certain ties to musical acts- for a fraction of their current resale price. eBay have set up both a £1.00 online raffle and an in-store sneakers and music quiz in their Manchester outlet to give people the chance to bid for their favourite sneakers, all the while giving back to charity as eBay donate the money raised from their online raffle to Manchester’s Olympias Music Foundation.
Taking place on September 29th, eBay will be undertaking a raffling event at the eBay UK Sneaker Store in Manchester’s Stage and Radio, with the event set to be hosted by rapper and singer IAMDDB as well as television and radio presenter Yasmin Evans. Some of the sneakers currently available to bid on include the IAMDDB Nike Jordan 1 Mid Kentucky Blue, Nike Air Jordan 4 Travis Scott, and the Yeezy 350 Oxford Tan.
