Gucci @ The Savoy.
The latest in luxury label’s experiential ventures, Gucci recently kicked off a new “ephemeral space dedicated to its world of travel” in London’s iconic Savoy Hotel.
Turning the clock back to the late 1800s when a young Guccio Gucci journeyed to London and worked as a porter at The Savoy, the go-to destination for the international jet set; the new space aims to capture the sense of discovery and magic of travel that the young designer experienced – leading him to travel home to Florence and found his own artisanal luggage atelier in 1921.
Showcasing a curated selection from Gucci’s travel offering including trunks, trolleys, duffle bags, suitcases, garment bags, and other smaller items, many of which are part of the heritage-infused Gucci Savoy collection, The Gucci Valigeria space will also display pieces from the Gucci lifestyle line.
