A Bright Future Lies Ahead.
After the unfortunate passing of former creative director Virgil Abloh, many doubted Louis Vuitton’s ability to continue in the same vein of success that Virgil had carved out for the fashion house, but with this latest collection, it looks as though LV will continue to be successful.
Debuting their Fall/Winter 2023 collection at the most recent Paris Fashion Week, the Colm Dillane-led range featured a host of standout pieces that incorporated Dillane’s eccentric KidSuper aesthetic, with this range of footwear channeling that vibrancy. Some imagery circulating online gave fashion fans a closer look at Louis Vuitton’s newest footwear range, with a selection of black, burgundy, navy, yellow, and silver sporty-style sneakers being on show. Seeming to stake their claim on 2022’s standout ‘Gorpcore’ aesthetic, which has seen the likes of ASICS and Salomon take over, Louis Vuitton’s latest silhouette boasts a relatively classic rounded shape, with a thick cushioned midsole, a mixed mesh and PU composition, as well as tactical rope laces and a fattened tongue. In relation to the pair’s all-round look, each sneaker don hits of lettered Louis Vuitton branding on the midsole, tongue and collar, whilst LV’s iconic emblem sits on the heel.
Whilst no release date has been set for these pairs or the rest of Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2023 range as of yet, expect a drop later this year. Stay tuned to PAUSE for more information as it arrives.
