2023's New Footwear Obsession?
On many an occasion, those truly tapped into the world of fashion know the trends that are likely to dominate the year, with Dior’s Thibo Denis teasing a potentially revolutionary footwear accessory.
With the divisive reveal of the UGG ‘Boot Guard’ in 2022, many people’s opinions on protective footwear accessories are still split, but with Dior entering the fold, many may begin to change their mind. Having already teased a a light beige iteration of this water repellent cover, Thibo Denis returns with a new all-black iteration, one that is seen covering the ‘B31’ sneaker – as seen previously – as well as the ‘Carlo Cannage’ derby shoe, which provides a new sneak peek into how the Dior shoe cover would work over different silhouettes. Not only boasting a lightweight shielding material, the protective layer also rocks signature Dior lettering and a robust injected rubber sole for added comfort and traction.
This water repellent cover from Dior is expected to drop alongside a range of footwear in the coming months.
