New Balance & Aimé Leon Dore Go Back to Back with a New 1906R Colourway

Trademark ALD.

Following the success of the recent 860V2 collaboration that saw a previously ignored New Balance silhouette gain massive hype and traction, Aimé Leon Dore has unveiled that the highly popular 1906R will be getting the same treatment as the creative duo continue to put their heads together and take over the sneaker space. The pair have seemingly moved on from the numerous 550 collaborations that propelled their popularity in the first place, moving on to sportier models that have a heavier focus on comfort.

The New York-based brand puts its signature touches on the New Balance silhouette through subtle detailing and vintage-inspired colour options to elevate the athletic footwear model. Much-loved forest green accents are ever-present across the entire shoe that sit atop a creamy, breathable mesh base as well as silver side panels and rose gold trimming on the “N” logo. Similar detailing can be found on the midsole and outsole of the shoe, replacing the cream colour with white and a contrasting black outsole. Co-branding can also be found on the tongue through a classy floral motif as well as on the insoles.

These sneakers are set to drop on May 4th.
