Sportswear mainstays Under Armour are the latest left-of-centre outfit to receive a Balenciaga makeover, with the luxury Spanish fashion house showing off their latest escapade in their latest runway show.
Taking place in China’s Shanghai, Balenciaga’s Resort 2025 show caught the attention for all the right – and wrong – reasons, with the latest effort being one of their more divisive of recent times as many fashionistas doubted the brand’s current crop of creativity, underlining the repetitive nature of this new collection. Despite the mixed pool of opinions, what cannot be doubted is Balenciaga’s ability to turn heads as backstage imagery arrives for one part of Demna’s Under Armour collaboration, with new footwear including stripped back takes on Balenciaga’s Speed Runner and 3XL Trainers. The signature brand silhouettes arrive in shades of black and white as co-branded Under Armour x Balenciaga insignia sits pretty on the toe of the Speed Runner and the heel counter of the 3XL, whilst raised midsoles and breathable mesh upper compositions round out both silhouettes.
