Alexander McQueen Champion the City of London in FW24 Campaign

Seán McGirr opens up his account with Alexander McQueen in style as he stays true to the brand’s British roots with a dedicated ode to the city of London.

Set amidst the hustle and bustle of East London, Alexander McQueen’s first campaign under the creative direction of Seán McGirr comes for the Fall/Winter 2024 season, capturing the “renegade glamour of the city’s youth” and their slightly twisted sense of style. Bringing forth some “animal opulence,” a punk take on razor-sharp suiting shoots to the forefront of this set of FW24 garments alongside wild shearling textures, shattered jet-stones, and tufted materials. Modernity clashes with tradition as McQueen’s latest battles with a melting pot of London influences, with tightly-cropped leather jackets bringing in some weathered silver adornments for another installation of texture, whilst the leather sling bag follows suit and stays compact and tight to the body. A white shearling material bursts forward from oversized coats and emits a sense of pushback and champions freedom from restraints, with tightly tailored black and white suits adorned with shattered jet-stone adding some balance.
