The Wait is Over.
One of the most anticipated high fashion and streetwear crossovers of recent times is finally set for release, with the Y/PROJECT x Salomon Speedcross 3 collection finally making its debut.
Y/PROJECT’s tongue-in-cheek approach is on full display throughout this collaborative Salomon campaign, underlining their thorough sex appeal through some below the belt imagery. Having been spotted on the feet of some lucky sneaker heads at various fashion weeks, as well as featuring in Y/PROJECT’s Fall/Winter 2024 campaign last March, the Y/PROJECT x Salomon Speedcross 3 takes the heritage climbing silhouette to new heights as two iterations of the famed shape feature prominently here, being dressed in shades of silver and grey as well as black, blue, and orange. Championing Y/PROJECT’s noted affections for ruffled textures, both pairs of the Speedcross 3 are lavishly reinterpreted with opulent fabric for a distinctly unique luxury finish, combining a sense of aforementioned Y/PROJECT irony in addition to Salomon’s more traditional design codes. As expected, Salomon’s heritage SensifitTM midsole unit keeps its place alongside a traction-savvy Speedcross lug pattern, as well as an action-ready lightweight composition.
The Y/PROJECT x Salomon Speedcross 3 capsule will release on October 10th.
