Despite Nike’s faltering form, it looks as though the heritage sportswear titans are ready to bounce back as we head into the new year, sharing a first look at their debut 3D printed sneaker.
The all-new effort is set to take form in an original Air Max 1000 silhouette, being Nike’s first-ever venture into the exciting world of 3D footwear. Surfacing in an array of vibrant new colour block colourways, the latest sneaker from Nike is made in collaboration with 3D-footwear printing mainstays, Zellerfeld, with this initial look seeing four all white, black, orange, blue, and red efforts receiving an equal share of the spotlight. A textured material upper layers under a smooth plate boasting Nike’s subtly placed mini Swoosh, whilst a predominantly carbon-fibre composition stretches into the toe box, throat, and midsole area of the silhouette. In typical Nike style, the the iconic Air Max “Air” chamber is inserted into the sole unit and stays mostly transparent, with the exception of some “AIR MAX 1000” text.
No release information is available as of yet, but a drop is expected in Spring 2025.
