Its biggest store to date.
Balenciaga has opened its largest store to date in Beijing’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun shopping complex, solidifying its commitment to China as a key luxury market (Earlier this year Balenciaga held its Pre-Spring fashion show in Shanghai). Spanning four floors, the flagship adopts the Paris-based house’s signature “raw architecture” aesthetic, featuring textured concrete, retrofitted metal fixtures, exposed ceiling grids, extruded aluminum shelving, and stone tiles. The facade draws inspiration from Beijing’s turn-of-the-century office buildings, incorporating weathered, translucent textile panels that merge modernity with a nod to local history.
Inside, the expansive store offers a comprehensive selection of Balenciaga’s latest collections, including ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, and accessories. To mark the occasion, the brand has launched six exclusive products and curated an exhibition featuring eight archival looks from its “Subtleties of a Dialogue” show, adding cultural depth to the shopping experience.
