These 'fits were worthy of a trophy of their own.
Last night saw football’s finest descend on London for the 70th edition of the Ballon d’Or ceremony. Taking place beneath the ornate interiors of the London Palladium, the event brought together some of the sport’s biggest names and a host of celebrity guests to celebrate standout performances from the 2025/26 season, paying tribute to inaugural winner Stanley Matthews on home soil.
Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane ended up at the Men’s Ballon D’Or winner, the first Englishman to do so in 25 years and the first Bayern Munich player in 45 years, whilst Spanish midfielder Alexia Putellas made women’s history by becoming the third player to win the Women’s Ballon D’Or for a third time.
Whilst there were many more highlights of the night, including a live iteration of Blue Lights by Jorja Smith, one thing certainly caught many people’s eyes; the ‘fits on some of the footballers who attended last night’s event.
