I Love Ugly’s Profound Spring Collection

By March 1, 2014Fashion News

New Zealand’s I Love Ugly does not love ugly. It loves unique, subtle, and artistic clothes that display a tenacity for pioneering style. With its new Spring 2014 lookbook, the Auckland based brand draw influence from its genesis in graphic design as it offers a selection of both excellent formal wear and distinctive casual.

The collection places more of an emphasis on ILU’s formal branch with this collection seeing speckled suits and bold shirt designs taking precedence. The items are branded with custom graphic figures like the cheeky “Cartoon Frankie” icon and the “Big Flag” emblem that emphasise ILU’s individualistic nature.

One of the most stunning elements of this collection is the subtle quotes scattered around various shirts and sweaters. Such quotes include “you cannot change what you refuse to confront” and “aspire to inspire before you expire”. Talk about clothing making a statement.
