We’re all lovers of the sport-luxe trend, and for SS14, everybody’s favourite surgical tailor, Clothsurgeon has returned with the latest collection, titled “The Cultured Sportsman”.
The cultured sportsman is the story of a young, talented athlete who comes across a paisley printed tapestry fabric, dating back to the 18th century. This discovery encourages the young sportsman to travel the world, wowing the crowds with his sport talent. After his journeys, he returns and applies his discoveries into creating a collection. From Nehru collars to classic sports blazer jackets, the designs are referenced by all the different cultures he encountered on his travels.
With this story in mind, it is evident that the collection is rich in patterns, with a sharp focus on clean tailoring, together creating a contemporary style. The collection features tailored jogger pants, overcoats, blazer jackets and various takes on the classic bomber jacket. The collection will be available soon on the brand’s online store.
