Bringing the spirit of the Mediterranean coast to London was certainly one of Oliver Spencer’s challenge of this season. One of the most anticipated Spring/Summer 2017 presentations, the British designer’s silhouettes were welcomed by famous features (pop singer Niall Horan and British model Oliver Cheshire to name a few) and the audience of London Collections: Men.
Drawing his inspiration from the Casa Malaparte in Capri (Italy), Oliver Spencer incorporated the elements that make the artistic villa famous. The cuts of the Spring/Summer 2017 collection, both cleaned and modern easily remind us of a minimalist mindset while the overall pieces from the collection create the snapshot of an Italian postcard. While navy blue meet red prints, a beige and vibrant honey palette softens the collection.
