Palm Angels takes to the Milanese runway for the first time.
Palm Angels showed its Autumn/Winter 2017 collection at Milan Fashion Week for the first time this weekend. Although only two years old, the brand is destined for good things if the social media hype is anything to go by, and this collection only solidified that notion.
Designer Francesco Raggazi created a rather particular narrative for this collection – a man who flees from the corporate world of Wall Street to live out a more peaceful life in sunny, hazy California. Cue a collection of clothing that street style stars are going to be falling over themselves to be snapped in.
Flares, bold Old English font branding, rugby shirts, drawstrings, camo print, graffitied puffa jackets, zip-up tops, cross-body bags, – every element of this collection is naff with a capital N, but when curated together by Raggazi it becomes cool, maybe even chic? But mostly, its desirable.
