MFW: Moncler Genius x Palm Angels Autumn/Winter 2018 Collection

Moncler re-wrote the history books at Milan Fashion Week, as replacing Gucci as the opening show collection. The Fall 2018 re-brand capsule ‘Genius Group’ features collaborative works with 8 creatives, including Moncler’s own Artist Director, Francesco Ragazzi of Palm Angels. Each unique offering will be slowly released on a month-by-month basis which will indefinitely make for high-anticipated drop dates.

The “Moncler Genius” collection is made up of Pierpalo Piccioli, Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Noir Kei Ninomiya, Hiroshi Fujiwara and the previously mentioned Palm Angels. Each fragment consists of each creative’s innovational take on staple Moncler outerwear, featuring everything from unlikely floral prints to tubed full-length hooded jackets. The collection also features Palm Angels x Moncler x Suicoke sandals which we’re styled effortlessly.

The company’s move away from a high-end seasonal winter favourite to a street-wear “drop” style business model is a huge shift from the way Moncler has previously worked and is likely to draw in a whole new demographic.
