What do you think of this rainbow check?
The president and chief creative officer of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, announced in October that he would be standing down from the luxury British fashion label after his 17 years of service. However, before leaving the creative had one more collection to drop, and since everyone found out what the collection was inspired by people have been falling in love with the concept more and more. Bailey decided to add a touch of colour to the brand’s globally renowned print. Although, judging by a few people’s reactions online the revamp of the classic pattern may not be for everyone. However, the change wasn’t just an effort to make the check more visually vivid but to sport the rainbow flag in support of the LGBT+ community. Furthermore, Burberry have been making generous donations to multiple charities such as the Albert Kennedy Trust, the Trevor Project and ILGA in order to really make a difference.
