Tourne De Transmission are renowned for often orientating their creative outputs around political and societal events and commentary making sure a significant level of consciousness has been used in the design stage of their products, and now that the lookbook for their SS18 collection has been released we can see that they have stayed true to this exact approach.
As for their latest collection they have not only explored the lack of transparency within policy, politics and media but the divisions that are apparent within our society as well as our ability to make independent decisions and inform change for the better. The way they have taken on such a task is through the impressive use of details; from the straps used to represent industry and transparent textiles to question how opaque or lucid our media and politics are, all the way to interchangeable text that can be swapped-out as the wearer sees fit to reflect how our personal opinions and beliefs can determine the subjects of media and vice versa.
