During 90-minute 'Lab Rat' Performance Art piece in NYC.
Following a very eventful Sunday evening at NYC-based auction house Sotheby’s, A$AP Rocky successfully caused a stir releasing not only the cover art for his upcoming album ‘Testing’, but also unveiling his newest sneaker collaboration with Under Armour.
A$AP Rocky’s most recent collaboration with the American footwear brand differs from the two previous offerings by the duo – this time presenting the chunky silhouette in a triple-black colourway. Information regarding the release of the collaborative sneaker is still extremely limited, but following the hype surrounding the Lab Rat event – official imagery and details should be expected in the upcoming weeks.
The performance piece itself took ran from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m, and was promoted by Rocky himself via Twitter, stating the piece would also be streamed live via Facebook. The piece consisted of the rapper sat in a glass box, participating in odd tasks such as eating hot peppers and drinking pints of milk.
The peculiar event concluded with Rocky revealing the cover art for his now finished album ‘Testing’, announcing it was now complete and ready to be released.
