For the urban ninja.
The Japanese sports-orientated brand ASICSTIGER and the ultra-durable watchmaker Casio G-SHOCK have teamed up for the very first time to introduce co-branded special editions of their flagship products.
Specifically, ASICSTIGER’s GEL-MAI KNIT comes in black or white with both iterations sporting red accents and a dual-logo upper. As for the build, ASICSTIGER takes a page out of G-SHOCK’s functionality-obsessed approach consequently leading to the use of leather accents on the upper for wear resistance, water-repellent PlasmaGuard on the pro-knit upper, a rubber outsole that helps the wearer maintain traction on the ground as well as fuzeGEL technology helping provide the whole piece with premium cushioning.
On G-SHOCK’s side of things, their special-edition GBA-800 that incorporates tech for daily use while maintaining an easy to use nature includes Bluetooth capabilities, allowing you to connect the device with your smartphone. Furthermore, the watch includes an interval timer, an LED light as well as a step tracker that not only records daily workouts, but also records calorie consumption and other health metrics, allowing you to optimise your health regime.
Take a look at the collaborative sneakers below, if you like what you see then sit tight as the special edition products will debut in Japan on the 22nd of June before launching in Europe on 29th of June in ASICSTIGER stores, just one day before they hit a wider variety of select retailers on the 30th.
