Joining the ranks.
Tom Ford, just made one of his significant moves as Chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s, adding four more names to the Board of Directors.
Further blurring the lines and cementing streetwear’s presence in luxury fashion, Ford, who has only been the acting CFDA chairman for a few months has appointed Pyer Moss’ Kerby Jean-Raymon, Virgil Abloh of Off-White™ and Louis Vuitton, as well as Maria Cornejo and Carly Cushnie to serve a six-year term as part of the council’s Board of Directors. The CFDA’s primary mission is to strengthen the impact of American fashion in the global economy, and who better to do that than the new guards of the hybrid luxury-streetwear industry.
